These Website Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Citivet Bothasig & Monte Vista website (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

Definitions
"Content" means all text, images, graphics, design, layout, logos and other material on the Site.
"Services" means veterinary and related services offered by Citivet, including wellness plans and appointment bookings.
"Specials" means discounts, promotions, packages, offers, campaigns and similar benefits advertised by Citivet from time to time.
Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and responsibly.
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, server or systems
- Interfere with the Site's security or functionality
- Transmit malware, harmful code, or spam
- Use the Site in a manner that infringes the rights of others
- Copy or reuse Site content for commercial purposes without permission
We may suspend or restrict access to the Site if we reasonably believe you are misusing it.
Website information and medical disclaimer
The Site may provide general information about veterinary care, services, wellness plans, promotions, and clinic details.
The Site does not provide veterinary advice for any specific animal and is not a substitute for a consultation, examination, diagnosis, or treatment by a veterinarian.
If you believe your pet may be unwell or in pain, contact Citivet directly or seek urgent veterinary assistance.
Online bookings and enquiries
The Site may allow you to submit enquiries or book appointments online.
Appointment bookings:
Are subject to availability of staff, facilities, and clinical prioritisation (including emergencies)
May be rescheduled or cancelled by Citivet where reasonably necessary
Do not guarantee that a specific veterinarian will be available unless explicitly confirmed
Cancellations:
If the Site states that cancellations are free and no credit card is required for booking, that applies only to the online booking process as shown on the Site and may change from time to time.
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please do so as early as possible.
After-hours and emergency consultations:
After-hours and emergency call-outs may carry surcharges.
On Sundays and public holidays, emergency consultations may be offered at limited set times, and availability may vary.
Please call the emergency number for guidance before travelling.
Fees, pricing and quotations
Prices displayed on the Site are for general information and may change from time to time.
Unless stated otherwise:
Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR)
Any quote or estimate may be subject to change depending on clinical findings, changes to treatment plan, additional diagnostics required, and availability of medicines or supplies
We will aim to explain costs and obtain appropriate consent before proceeding with non-routine procedures where reasonably possible.
Wellness plans
Citivet may offer wellness plans that bundle preventative care and benefits over a period, typically payable monthly.
General wellness plan terms (unless a specific written plan agreement states otherwise):
A wellness plan is linked to a specific pet and is not transferable to another pet or person
Benefits apply only during the plan term and while payments are up to date
Benefits may be limited to normal operating hours unless stated otherwise
A complimentary after-hours consultation benefit (if offered) may be subject to fair use and practical availability
Plan benefits do not guarantee clinical outcomes and do not replace emergency care or medically necessary treatment outside the plan scope
Missed payments may result in suspension of plan benefits until the account is brought up to date
Citivet may update plan inclusions, pricing, and benefit structures with reasonable notice where operationally necessary, provided that changes are applied fairly and in line with any signed plan terms
If your plan includes automatic entry into Citivet lucky draws, that entry will be subject to the specific competition rules for each draw and applicable law.
Plan documents
(If these brochures are downloadable from the Site, they form part of the wellness plan information. If there is any conflict between the brochure and a signed plan agreement, the signed agreement will apply.)
Promotions, specials, discounts and vouchers
8.1 General rules
Specials and promotions are offered for limited periods and on the terms stated in the promotional material.
Unless stated otherwise:
Specials are available only while the offer is running and/or while capacity is available
Specials apply only to the services specifically listed in the offer
Specials cannot be exchanged for cash
Specials are not transferable unless explicitly stated
Specials may not be combined with other discounts or promotions unless explicitly stated
Specials are not retrospective and do not apply to past appointments, invoices or services already performed
Specials may exclude certain cases based on clinical assessment or medical suitability
Specials may require a booking during the promotional period, even if the procedure occurs shortly thereafter, depending on the offer wording
If a special includes a percentage discount (for example "up to 20%"), the discount may vary depending on the procedure category, clinical grade, or inclusions described in the offer.
8.2 Right to amend or withdraw
Citivet may amend, suspend, or withdraw a special where reasonably necessary (for example due to supply issues, staffing constraints, clinical appropriateness, or suspected abuse), provided this is done fairly and in line with applicable consumer protection laws.
8.3 Voucher-specific rules (if applicable)
If Citivet issues vouchers:
Vouchers may have expiry dates and redemption conditions
Vouchers may be limited to one per pet or one per client unless stated otherwise
Lost vouchers may not be replaced unless Citivet can verify issuance and unused status
Vouchers may be void if altered, copied, or misused
Competitions and lucky draws
If Citivet runs promotional competitions or lucky draws, they will be conducted in line with applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act and relevant regulations.
Unless the specific competition rules state otherwise:
Competition rules will be available on request or via the relevant promotion page
If a competition entry is submitted electronically, the reasonable cost to transmit an entry will not exceed the amount permitted by regulation
All valid entries will have a fair chance of winning where the competition involves random selection
Citivet may exclude employees, contractors, suppliers directly involved in the competition, and their immediate family members where permitted or required by law
Winners will not be required to allow their image to be used in marketing, participate in marketing activity, or be present at a draw as a condition of winning without being told they may decline
Prizes are not transferable and not exchangeable for cash unless the rules say otherwise
Citivet may require proof of identity and compliance with eligibility requirements before awarding a prize
If a prize is unclaimed within the stated period, a replacement winner may be selected as set out in the rules
Intellectual property
All Content on the Site is owned by or licensed to Citivet and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may view, download, and print portions of the Site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit Site Content without prior written consent.
Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party websites or use third-party tools (for example maps, embedded content, booking tools, or analytics). We do not control third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
Your use of third-party websites or services may be governed by their terms and privacy policies.
Privacy and cookies
Your use of the Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect and process personal information and how cookies are used.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law:
Citivet provides the Site "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site.
We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on general information on the Site in place of professional veterinary advice.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot legally be excluded.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Citivet against losses, claims, or damages arising from your unlawful use of the Site or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to the Site and Terms
We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on the Site and will apply from the "Last updated" date above.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts, unless an alternative dispute resolution process is required by law or agreed by the parties.
