Our clinic & team
Citivet Bothasig & Monte Vista provide exceptional veterinary care for dogs and cats in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. With over 25 years of experience, a modern facility and a close-knit team, we treat your pet as if they were our own.
Meet our veterinarians
Our six veterinary surgeons are supported by dedicated nurses, animal health technicians, orderlies, kennel hands and admin staff. Together, we’re committed to providing calm, professional care for every pet that walks through our doors.
Dr Gosia Ornatowska
Dr Gosia Ornatowska hails from Warsaw, Poland, and qualified as a veterinarian in 2000 at S.G.G.W. University. She worked in her own practice in Warsaw, then left to further her surgical skills and spent 8 months working in Dubai under specialist surgeons. Personal reasons brought her to Cape Town, where she worked in animal welfare before joining Citivet in 2004. Her special interests are soft tissue surgery as well as caring for smaller pets such as rabbits, hamsters, and rats. Recently she has attended specialist surgical training in Cremona, Italy and Sheffield, UK.
Dr Kegan Becker
After graduating from Onderstepoort in 2012, Dr Kegan practiced for a short while in Milnerton, before joining the CitiVet team in June 2013. She has a keen interest in small animal surgery and behaviour. Dr Kegan is a qualified and certified puppy school instructor and has completed her Veterinary Clinical Behaviour Course.
Dr Sumari Beumer
Dr Sumari Beumer qualified as a veterinary surgeon at Onderstepoort in 2017. She is originally from Pretoria, where she worked in a couple of local small animal veterinary practices. Before qualifying as a veterinarian, Dr Sumari studied nature conservation and worked at the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre.
Dr Tim Taylor
Dr Tim Taylor qualified from Onderstepoort in 2021, where he developed an interest in small animal internal medicine. He completed his Compulsory Community Service year in Giyani, Limpopo, working in a rural mixed animal clinic.
Dr Tim is originally from a farm near the small town of Greyton.
Dr Adel Ferreira
Dr Adel Ferreira qualified from Onderstepoort in 2002. She completed her masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Statistics at the University of Stellenbosch in 2012. She is passionate about internal medicine and maintaining the quality of the pet and family relationship throughout all life stages. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors and growing microgreens. Dr Adel has been associated with Citivet for over 10 years, and we trust her locum work even with our own pets.
